Welcome to the Local 977 UAW Website. Local 977, UAW is an amalgamated union representing approximately 1310 workers at the General Motors Stamping Plant in Marion, Indiana. Local 977, UAW was chartered by the International Union May 1st, 1957. Our General Motors Unit builds dies and stamps parts for many products since the plant's beginnings. August 11th, 2008, the International Executive Board granted Amalgamated status to Local 977. Our Aramark Unit members perform janitorial and machine cleaner jobs.
